ICL

What are ICL lenses:

ICL lenses are designed from collamer and are implanted inside the eye to correct myopia (up to -18 degrees), astigmatism (up to 6 degrees), and hyperopia (up to +8 degrees). US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.

Use:

In patients with severe myopia who are not suitable for LASIK and femtoLASIK operations.
People with a thin cornea who are not suitable for LASIK and femtoLASIK operations.
Some patients with keratoconus.

What are the side effects of ICL implantation:

It is considered a very safe operation, provided that the appropriate lens is chosen with the correct measurements for the condition, along with the experience of the doctor and the competence of the medical team, which makes the success rate of the operation guaranteed.
Increased eye pressure (in most cases temporary after the operation)
Cataracts (in which the patient may need to remove the lens)
Eye sensitivity to the ICL lens
The presence of halos of light (which is often temporary after the operation)
